Lauren Michelle Pires is a self-represented manicurist based in London.
Pires – who is of Indian-Kenyan decent – honed her craft through experimenting during her time studying at Central Saint Martins; and has since transferred this to her precision and creativity as a nail artist.
Lauren leans into the awkwardness of beauty with her use of colour, shape and form – pushing the boundaries of nail art. She was recognised as one of the New Wave Creatives at the British Fashion Awards, cementing her place as an innovative artist at the forefront of a rapidly growing field. Lauren was also appointed the face of H&M Nails.
Alongside collaborating with photographers Harley Weir, Carlijn Jacobs, Charlotte Wales, Rafael Pavarotti and Gabriel Moses; she has worked with world-famous names including Kate Moss, Harry Styles, Kendrick Lamar and Solange – who she has created custom nail shades for. Pires’ work has appeared in titles such as Beauty Papers, i-D, AnOther and Dazed.
